• Yes.....it really is. let's just talk about it.
Sri Lanka is a small island in the Indian ocean. but it has the best coastal area. most of the people including locals and foreigners are used to call Sri Lanka the wonder of Asia or the pearl of the Indian ocean. ancient foreigners who came to Sri Lanka from around the world for trade purposes had their names to refer to our country. that means Ancient Greek geographers called it Taprobane, and Arabs used to call it Serendib. Later European mapmakers called it Ceylon. It officially became Sri Lanka in 1972. in the real sense of the word, Sri Lanka is one of the best countries to visit.
everything in Sri Lanka has its kind of cultural value. the culture, spectacular views, foods & beverages, textiles, etc. of Srilanka are very popular among foreigners.
There are so many eye-catching tourist destinations in Sri Lanka that many tourists love to visit. among them, Galle is one of the most famous travel destinations in Sri Lanka. Unawatuna beach is the best for me.
Boat rides and visiting coral reefs are very famous not only among foreigners but also among locals.
Moreover, in my point of view, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, and Kandy are the 2nd best destinations to visit.
but nowadays Sri Lanka is facing a quite hard time. economical chaos and political mismanagements have affected for Sri Lankan tourism industry.
the lack of US Dollars, power cuts, shortage of essential items, shortage of fuel, and shortage of gas have also affected tourism.
but Sri Lanka is still famous among tourists, that's why they come to Srilanka even though we have economical troubles. we, Sri Lankans, do appreciate it. because of being an island most of the time, we do depend on the tourism industry. yet, Sri Lanka is truly eligible to visit.
we do need foreign support to overcome this pathetic situation. in addition to that, many peaceful protestors do protest round the clock holding slogans to show their frustration against the current government.
they are very peaceful.no harming. day by day people gather to find a solution.
last but not the least, as Sri Lankans we invite you to come to visit our beautiful country.it is 100% safe, and comfortable to travel here. you must come to Srilanka to feel the beauty of our jaw-dropping destinations.
