Sri Lankan cuisine
A LITTLE ABOUT SRI LANKAN CUISINE.
Today we are going to be exploring Sri Lankan cuisine. Sri Lanka is a perfectly balanced country. When we talk about this treasure island we cannot forget its magical cuisine. Asian countries indeed have wonderful cuisines.
Their techniques are undefeatable and unique. The taste is overwhelming. Most Sri Lankans use clay pots for cooking not only that they also use wood stoves and spoons made of coconut shells.
So much environmental-friendly isn't it? Apart from that, those things increase the taste and give a mouth-watering aroma.
If I'm not wrong, the most popular food in Sri Lanka is rice & curry.
It is their main meal and the curries are way more popular than anything else except rice.
Dhal curry, chicken & fish curries, coconut sambol, fried dry fish, and baby jack curry are a few of them.
Coconut sambol is mainly made of grated coconut, onions, chili flakes, and green chili.
Sri Lankans do eat string hoppers with sambol and dhal curry.
That is insanely delicious.
I highly recommend that Spectacular meal.
Sri Lankans use many kinds of native spices to make foods delicious. Spices do increase the taste of everything they cook. It's not a secret that Sri Lanka is well known for its native spices. Milk rice is also famous among Sri Lankans.
It's native and is made of coconut milk and rice.
It is made for kind of special events.
foreigners love to taste Sri Lankan foods.
They do really like Kottu which is made of Parata(made of flour), onions, chicken, spices, vegetables, etc.
Hoppers and string hoppers are very popular for breakfast in Sri Lanka.
